Which package or service level might you need?

Proofreading (BRONZE) is a light check-through of your digital content, prior to it being published. The main purpose of this is to ensure your work is not going out into the public domain with errors in it. These can be embarrassing to your business and off-putting to your clients. Typos communicate a lack of competence or care, which is not the first impression you want to give. Proofreading involves correcting things like spelling, grammar, punctuation and capitalisation. This is the package to go for if you want peace of mind at an affordable price.

Copy editing (SILVER) is a much more in-depth look at your written content. It’s about making sure your copy is not only 100% correct (as per proofreading) but also clear, concise, consistent (in its formatting, wording, tone and style) and effectively communicating what you intended. This is the package to go for if you’d like an in-depth review and refresh of your existing website copy.

Copy writing (GOLD) is creating new written content – based on a brief, rough draft, bullet points or other raw materials provided by you, the client. It is professional writing with a specific purpose, usually to promote a product or service – and to persuade someone to take action. This is the package to go for if you’d like me to rewrite or create brand new copy for your website.

What website copy might you need?

Some web pages are must-haves, such as your HOME and ABOUT pages. What others you include will depend on the nature and focus of your business. A photographer or interior designer might want a portfolio page to show off their previous work. A life coach or business strategist might prefer a blog. The below table will also guide you as to which pages you might need new or more copy for. A FAQ page is an often overlooked opportunity to connect with your ideal clients and improve your SEO.
